Forms for Encounter & Exchange: Artist-led approaches to public pedagogy in the Asia Pacific region, a special edition of the Journal of Public Pedagogies

Our editorial team composed of three individuals — Marnie Badham, Diwas Raja Kc, Kelly Hussey- Smith and the collective KUNCI Study Forum & Collective (represented by Gatari Surya Kusuma and myself) — who came together through a shared interest in practices of public pedagogy that: create sites for new questions and knowledge(s) to emerge in the public realm through artistic forms and relational pedagogical encounters are formed outside of institutional contexts, address social tensions, and build networks of solidarity; and are led by artists while privileging local aesthetics and community self-determination.

Holopis Kuntul Baris: The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Collaboration, a special section of Discipline art journal
On behalf of KUNCI Cultural Studies Center, I convened a special section for the fourth edition of Discipline art journal. The special section entitled "Holopis Kuntul Baris: The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Collaboration" took shape through an invitation to think together about the contemporary conditions and challenges in producing art collaboratively. It extends the long history of KUNCI's investigation into the developments and limitations of sharing culture in arts practices. Collaboration as a topic has been the maypole that permits us to project how possible ways of affiliation are opening up in the active formations of societies.
